Perfect for the hardworking man in your life! An all-natural daily hand and face moisturizer, as well as an excellent aftershave replacement. Tallow balm is miraculous on skin. Tallow conforms closely to our skin’s make up to soothe, heal, and moisturize like no other.

Stacey Sumereau’s tallow balm for Catholic All Year contains just a few all-natural ingredients: Organic grass-fed tallow raised by Amish farmers, olive oil, and therapeutic grade Tea Tree, Lemon, Eucalyptus, Siberian Fir Tree, Cardamom, and European Bay Laurel essential oils.

What is Tallow?

Tallow is actually rendered beef fat. Tallow has been used for thousands of years, recorded as far back as ancient Egypt and Rome. It fell out of vogue when laboratory-made products began to be heavily advertised, but is coming back as people rediscover that its natural properties surpass synthetic and plant-based products in effectiveness. Tallow aids in healing:

  •   Dry skin
  •   Eczema
  •   Acne
  •   Diaper rash
  •   Burns, cuts and scrapes

Tallow balm is packed with the following skin-loving nutrients:

  •   Vitamins A, D, K, E, and B12, all of which are extremely beneficial for skin
  •   Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) with natural anti-inflammatory properties
  •   Oleic acid (omega 9) aids other components in penetrating deeply into skin
  •   Antibacterial and antimicrobial
  •   Palmitic acid which helps improve the protective barrier function of skin
  •   Rich in minerals
  •   Stearic acid which helps to repair damaged skin, and improves skin’s flexibility and suppleness
  •   Palmitoleic acid (omega 7,) one of our skin’s basic building blocks

How to Use

The 2 oz jar will last approximately two months when used daily. Take a very small amount and rub between your finger and thumb for a few seconds to warm up the tallow. When you feel it has melted just slightly, apply lightly to face or rub into hands.

Keep out of direct sunlight. Tallow will last approximately a year unrefrigerated.

Please consult your doctor for questions about whether essential oils are safe to use for pregnant mothers, nursing mothers, infants, and children.
