A fun food/activity for the Transfiguration is making toad-in-the-hole. (This is the American egg-in-toast version, not the English sausages-in-batter version.) We read the story of the Transfiguration from one of the gospels and make this for breakfast. As the egg cooks, we watch as it becomes dazzling white, just like Jesus! Well, not JUST like Jesus.
