Kibeho Ginger Milk Tea - November 28 - Our Lady of Kibeho
November 2023•Recipes
Our Lady of Sorrows of Kibeho appeared in Rwanda in the 1980s. She spoke to Catholic schoolgirls Alphonsine Mumureke, Nathalie Mukamazimpaka, and Marie Claire Mukangango in multiple visions. The beauty of this traditional Rwandan milk tea is in its simplicity: just black tea, warm spicy ginger, milk, and sugar. It’s lovely hot or cold.
Note: If using dried whole ginger, soak the pieces in warm water for a few hours or overnight to make them more pliable before attempting to grate or chop them in a food processor.
