Stained Glass Cookies - August 25 - St. Louis IX

August 2023Recipes
These stained glass cookies are reminiscent of the beautiful stained glass windows at San Chapelle, which is why they’re perfect for the feast of St. Louis IX! We like to make them with star cookie cutters, but you can really use any shape, so long as you have two different sizes of cookie cutters in the same shape. You can also get creative mixing Jolly Rancher colors, but you may want to test them in advance so that you don’t end up with. . .brown. You can also use different candies! Jolly Ranchers have more vibrant colors but end up a bit harder to much on. Life Savers create a muted color effect, but are nice and soft to eat. Your cookies will turn out as diverse and lovely as stained glass windows in churches all over the world!
