Mary appeared in Lourdes, France in the 1800s. Her appearance was accompanied by a rose, and she invited a young girl named Bernadette to pray the Rosary with her. Mary asked Bernadette to dig into the ground, where a spring of water appeared. The water looked incredibly clean, and was soon given to those experiencing illnesses, many of whom were miraculously cured. Mary appeared eighteen more times in Lourdes, which today is the site of a church and grotto where millions visit to seek healing and clarity from the precious water that began flowing over 150 years ago!
