Tallow is a miracle ingredient that conforms closely to our skin’s make up to soothe, heal, and moisturize like no other. It can be used as hand and body lotion and/or aftershave replacement. These bars also make wonderful gifts for priests, fathers, friends, and other gifting occasions such as birthdays and sacraments.

What is Tallow?

Tallow is actually rendered beef fat. Tallow has been used for thousands of years, recorded as far back as ancient Egypt and Rome. It fell out of vogue when laboratory-made products began to be heavily advertised, but is coming back as people rediscover that its natural properties surpass synthetic and plant-based products in effectiveness. Tallow aids in healing:

•   Dry skin
•   Eczema

•   Burns, cuts and scrapes

Tallow is packed with the following skin-loving nutrients:

•   Vitamins A, D, K, E, and B12, all of which are extremely beneficial for skin

How to Use

This lotion bar is 5 oz and will last several months. It’s solid at room temperature but begins to melt very slightly in your hands after a few seconds. Either rub it slowly like a bar of soap onto skin, or, to preserve the design, scrape off a very small amount and rub gently into skin. Tallow has a slight smell of beef that is not unpleasant.

Keep out of direct sunlight. Tallow will last approximately one year unrefrigerated. Please note that color variation may occur from batch to batch. This is a natural occurrence and not a reflection on the quality of ingredients used.
